The short version
Your tool data stays on your device. We run no server that stores it. Cloud backup is optional, manual, and goes to your own Google Drive or OneDrive — we can't see it, recover it, or delete it. We don't sell data, run ads, or use tracking cookies. The details are below.

What we collect and why

Google account access (OAuth)
The optional “Back up to Google Drive” feature signs you in with your own Google
account and asks for one permission: access to the app's own private folder
in your Drive (drive.appdata scope). In plain terms:
- We can only see and touch the folder our app created — not your emails, photos, documents, or anything else in your Drive.
- The folder holds only the backup file you explicitly saved by tapping “Back up now”.
- We use it only to save and restore your backups when you ask.
- Sign-in tokens live in your browser's memory for the session only — they are never stored long-term and never sent to us.
- You can revoke access anytime at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or delete the backup file from your Drive. Either way, we cannot recover it for you — we never had a copy.
The same applies to the optional OneDrive backup (limited to the app's own folder,
Files.ReadWrite.AppFolder scope).
What we never do
- No server-side storage. We operate no database of your tool records. If it's not in your Drive/OneDrive backup, it exists only on your device.
- No selling or sharing. We don't sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers or data brokers. No ad trackers, no tracking cookies.
- No automatic uploads. Nothing leaves your device unless you tap a button that says so.
- No liability for un-backed-up data. If your device is lost or wiped and you never tapped “Back up now”, that data is gone — back up regularly, especially before switching devices.
Your control
- Delete tool data: clear the tool's data in the app, or clear your browser's site storage for coolbooked.com.
- Delete backups: delete the backup file from your Google Drive or OneDrive.
- Revoke cloud access: disconnect in the app, or revoke at myaccount.google.com/permissions (Google) or your Microsoft account privacy settings (OneDrive).
- Ask us anything: [email protected] — including a request to delete any email correspondence you've sent us.
Data retention
Tool records stay on your device until you delete them. Backups stay in your Drive or OneDrive until you delete them. Emails you send us are kept as ordinary business correspondence. Anonymous analytics are aggregated by Cloudflare and not tied to you.
Children
These tools are built for working HVAC professionals and are not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Material changes — for example, collecting a new kind of data — will be noted here plainly.
